Word Work – syllables, adjectives, nouns, verbs, subject verb agreement.
Comprehension – compare/contrast characters and stories, connections, self-monitoring, main idea with supporting details, author's point, reading 60 words per minute,
Reading - Quarter 4:
Word Work – syllables, contractions, spelling irregular words, shades of meaning.
Comprehension – cause and effect, major differences between fiction and non-fiction, themes.
Writing - Quarter 3: Opinion writing, subject verb agreement, research a topic to find answers to questions.
Writing - Quarter 4: Review all genres including personal narrative, informational, opinion, and preview imaginary narrative.
Math - Quarter 3: Counting on to add, counting back to subtract, fact families, properties of addition and subtraction, missing addends, equivalent properties and equal sign.
Math - Quarter 4: Place value with tens and ones, identifying tens and ones, adding tens and ones, adding and subtracting double digit numbers within 100.
Science - Quarter 3: Light, Shadows, and Sound
Science - Quarter 4: Magnets
Social Studies - Quarter 3: Harriet Tubman, George Washington Carver
